Brass Grabber and the Century Arms C93 Review

The Century Arms C93 is a clone of the famous Heckler & Koch HK93.  As you can see from the photo, the Brass Grabber’s net cannot be moved far enough forward to completely cover the ejection port.

To compensate, I adjusted the forward edge of the net so it was very close to the ejection port. The result was a lot of FTEs (Failure to Eject).  I think if I can extend the Brass Grabber’s main bracket so that I can move the net forward about two inches it should work fine.

The other curious thing I noticed was that the ejected .223 brass was so hot that the case mouth would actually melt itself to the nylon net just a bit.  It didn’t seem to do any harm but it was interesting nevertheless.

UPDATE: I drilled another hole in the net’s bracket, allowing me to move the net forward by a little more than an inch. Bingo.  It worked!

The Brass grabber caught every single round ejected from the rifle.  Success!
